When you arrive at our permanent makeup studio in San Diego, you can show us your inspiration photos. It’s always best to come along with an idea of what lip colour and shape you’re looking for. We’ll start the procedure by making you comfortable as lip blushing can take over an hour depending on the shape you’re going for. We’ll numb your lips so that you don’t feel the pressure of the tiny needles across your lips. The numbing process takes around 30 minutes, so you can sit back and relax. As the numbing agent is taking effect, we’ll sketch out the shape and colour of your lips so that you can imagine what the finished product will look like. You can use it as an opportunity to ask any questions and make any last-minute alterations to the proposed sketch.
Once you’re ready, we’ll power up the applicator and start applying your chosen pigment into your lip using the tiny needles. This process involves layering the pigment to make your lips look as natural as possible.

If you’re a smoker or are lucky to live in the sun, you may need to come in a little earlier as this can make the pigment fade prematurely.
